Firm Overview:

Axar Capital Management LP is an employee-owned $2.9 billion opportunistic credit investment firm focused on complex and special situations in the U.S. middle market. Founded in 2015, Axar partners with endowments, foundations, pension funds and other sophisticated investors to deliver high-conviction, value-oriented investment solutions that capitalize on inefficiencies in overlooked segments of credit markets.
Axar’s investment strategy is anchored by deep fundamental analysis, rigorous risk management, and active engagement with portfolio companies. The firm takes a hands-on, operationally aware approach to value creation - working closely with management teams to drive performance, improve capital structures, and unlock long-term growth potential. By combining domain expertise with execution discipline, Axar seeks to generate attractive, asymmetric returns with low correlation to broader credit markets.
